Is Lululemon Worth the Money?

Hey ya'll! So if you haven't heard of lululemon Athletica I'm going to tell you all about it and my personal review on the products!

History (directly from their website)

OUR VISION

Founded by Chip Wilson in Vancouver, Canada in 1998, lululemon is a yoga-inspired, technical athletic apparel company for women and men. What started as a design studio by day and yoga studio by night soon became a standalone store in November of 2000 on West 4th Avenue in Vancouver’s Kitsilano neighbourhood. Our vision for our store was to create more than a place where people could get gear to sweat in, we wanted to create a community hub where people could learn and discuss the physical aspects of healthy living, mindfulness and living a life of possibility. It was also important for us to create real relationships with our guests and understand what they were passionate about, how they liked to sweat and help them celebrate their goals. Today, we do this in our stores around the globe.

OUR PRODUCT

Our first designs were made for women to wear during yoga. Through plenty of feedback from our guests, ambassadors and elite athletes, we now design for yoga, running, cycling, training and most other sweaty pursuits for women and men. Not to mention, our designers are athletes and sweat-minded people, too.

OUR BEST LIFE

A constant that has never wavered is our desire to empower people to reach their full potential through providing the right tools and resources, and encouraging a culture of leadership, goal setting and personal responsibility. Our core values of quality, product, integrity, balance, entrepreneurship, greatness and fun are lived by our people every day and are at the heart of our unique company culture.

We live a life we love. We set our goals to align with our vision, and it’s why, so often, our one-year goals become today’s reality.

My Thoughts

If you haven't figured it out, Lululemon is a name brand of workout/athletic clothing. At first, I was so skeptical about them. I just thought girls on my dance team wanted the clothes for the name!
So I had asked around about them and finally on vacation, in Jacksonville, FL, I decided to at least go try a pair of leggings on. Just to see. And then I fell in love....

I have purchased 3 pairs of leggings, 1 pair of shorts, and 1 workout tank. So no, I can't give you a full review on every product, but I can honestly tell about the ones I have tried! And I've also been to a few of their stores.

Let's start with the leggings!

They can range anywhere from $88 - $128.
I absolutely LOVE the leggings! Yes, they are a little pricey for a girl like me, but they hold up sooo well and I could live in them.

The fabric is not like any other legging sold by other companies. It has a luxtreme fabric that holds you in, is not see through, sweat wicking, breathable, and conforms to your body. They feel so well fitted when you have them on and won't stretch out after wearing them!

These are the ones I have:

I have two pair of Wunder Under Crops (maroon and a blue white pattern) and they are perfect for working out! Pictured below.

I have one pair of "All the Right Places"(pictured below) in black and I wear them at least once a week! lol!!

But seriously, I did my research on them before I bought them. Reviews claimed these hold everything in and they really do! They give you a very nice shape, slim legs and bigger butt. With no seam up the middle you don't worry about a camel toe. They also have pockets on the sides which are great for your phone!

So honestly I think the leggings are worth the money simply because of their awesome quality!

Now for shorts:

I bought these used from another girl. They look cute and make me actually look like I have a butt! The only bad thing is they are really short and when I wore them at dance practice I was paranoid about my butt hanging out.

I've heard other girls also complain about the coverage of the shorts. Lululemon does sell longer ones, but I haven't tried them.

So overall, shorts are nice but wouldn't be the first thing I would buy in the store.

Lastly, tank top:

I actually have the first version of this tank which is a lot similar. It is very cute and breathable! Feels so light on your body when working out.

Overall view of the tanks- I've also viewed a bunch of them in the store. All of them are cute and nice but not all that amazing so if you can't afford that for a tank top, then I wouldn't make a splurge.

If I was a rich girl.... I'd probably have everything in their store!! But I'm not so when I have money I have to spend it wisely to collect a few pieces here and there.

In my opinion the leggings are the most well worth your money spent. They are just superior to other brands. All of their other types of clothing are good too! But.... if you hate to spend a lot for athletic wear, do it on the leggings!
